Considering Science in Conservation
In Paraguay we discovered a new scientific technique for gathering information from parrot nests - a sticky water bottle.
Paraguay is an amazing country consisting of some very special ecosystems. Parrots occur in all of these areas and there are 23 species in total, many of which are endangered regionally such as the hyacinth and red-and-green macaws. Much of our work is concentrated on large ranches, some of which are also protected reserves. Other species we work to protect here are the yellow-face amazon and turquoise-fronted amazon.
