ONLINE LEARNING JOURNEY

A special learning journey is being offered online, free of charge:
Care, Compassion, and Transformation in the Midst of Crisis, facilitated by LoraKim Joyner. LoraKim will introduce the theory and practice of Nonviolent Communication and the Five Natural Intelligences to support communication and connection with ourselves, other humans, and other species (such as parrots)

Transformative Parrot Conservation Conversations
Beginning on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 1pm Eastern Time
Monthly for 12 months
Transformative Conservation theory and practice aids organizations and individuals in achieving both inner and outer transformation. Inner transformation refers to how we relate to each other and other species and outer transformation is about changing our society and economy so it is more just and where all can flourish. This is no easy or quick fix, and realizing the challenges for people as individuals and in conservation projects to change can be daunting. For this reason we will gather every month to learn about Transformative Conservation, parrot conservation in general, and support one another in how we can lead transformative change in our daily lives and projects. Cutting edge topics and papers will be reviewed. This is brought to you by One Earth Conservation’s Parrot Conservation Corps that has led 3 year-long courses in Transformative Conservation. We will meet on Saturdays at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.
BIRDING FOR LIFE

Watching birds can lead to greater human satisfaction, happiness, and health. By being aware of birds, we can also grow our ability to focus and to rest in the current moment, as well as grow our compassion and justice centered behaviors to help care for ourselves, others, and the planet.
PARROT PILGRIMAGES
2025 Parrot Pilgrimage to Nicaragua
Join us for a 20 mile walk around Ometepe Island in Nicaragua. The walking is along a dirt road, with gentle hills and, in some places, a path that is a bit rocky and muddy. Along the way we will stop at six conservation communities to count parrots.
